About The Artwork

Hand-cut paper collage assembled with archival glue and tape. This collage features elements from an old cookbook about cheese, a book of Bible stories and a book about classic Ford cars. The car is a 1952 Ford Country Sedan. The collage has an irregular edge and many open negative spaces. Look on Saatchi Art for its companion piece, "Fairlane."

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

All collages are one-of-a-kind works on paper, hand-cut with scissors and assembled with archival tape and glue. There is no scanning, reprinting or any type of digital manipulation. All printed matter is fair game: textbooks, posters, magazines, catalogs, coloring books, maps, comic books, art books, and so on. Working from a quarry of several thousand cut elements, formal relationships serve as a starting point for each collage; eventually narrative threads appear as disparate elements begin to relate. Unique in the cut-and-paste world, these collages with their intricate, dynamic compositions of interlocking elements, their predominant sourcing from printed graphic works, and their combinations often resulting in darkly comic, pseudo-violent and homoerotic storytelling all make the body of work a spectacular standout. Recent work includes colored pencil drawings based on collages.
