About The Artwork
Part of a project I started in Oct 2020, I received 300 Playboys issues from my father-in-law's subscription collection. I spent hours and hours separating the magazine into parts and utilized over 250 Table of Contents for this piece. I wanted to give new life and form to the classic "centerfold" and let her have more flesh and weight to her. The dates of the magazines are on many of the cutouts and some date back over 30 years. Paper and glaze on acrylic over a strectched canvas.
