About The Artwork
This two pieces named Fragments were born as a result of an intensive meditation session where I could see the fragments of thoughts and anxieties beautifully dance and fly away leaving a quiet, free, restored mind. Aiming to valorise and respect the quality of this particular paper, that I was sweetly given by a friend, I found myself letting go of delicate quick pastel marks. I then recognised the strong influence of great expressionists like Cy Twomly and Tapies that in my research for minimalism and wabi-sabi inspire my work. Fragments 01 and Fragments 02 look good together, like the dust moving on the side and then wheeling upwords The paintings have been professionally mounted on a panel and framed without glass and it's ready to hang. This choice enhances the fabric, texture impression of the paper and the marvellous work done by the local framer adds immense value to the work.
