I create a lot of life drawings where only one person is posing. The relationship of a single model becomes whatever the person viewing the work desire it to be. When there is more than one person then then the drawing becomes quite different. Being an artist can be a lot like being a bartender, because people let you in and you get a glimpse of their private lives. This drawing begins to tell a story that may or may not include the viewer. It is easily understood that these drawings are glimpses into other people's private lives and the viewer is looking in from the outside. This work of art is done on acid-free paper. The drawing is created in watercolor ink and graphite. The work is signed. I provide a certificate of authenticity. Title: Friends Size: 11 x 14 inches Medium: Mixed media on paper

Stewart Fletcher’s paintings, drawings and works on paper have been the subject of numerous solo and group exhibitions over the past forty years. His paintings, drawings and works on paper are part of several private international collections in over 20 countries and in 36 American States. Known for his fascination with the human body, Fletcher explores various concepts beyond the representational image. The great equalizer he believes is when one's clothing is removed. All identifiers and societal statuses disappear and the real person appears. Fletcher does not believe that his work is erotic, however some people do because of their social, religious and regional upbringing. He often uses humour and satire to convey his views on the world around him..
