Lets Go For A Walk Drawing

This work was inspired by a dog who lives in Vail, CO. Her name is Koa and she was the first friend of my dog, Porter. She truly lives a charmed life. I depicted her stance and gaze as still and calm while infusing a great deal of active line and texture into the rendering of her hair. That, I feel, is a good analogy for her personality. She is demure and charming when first encountered, but closer inspection reveals a depth of character and a wildness of spirit that defies her outward appearance.
