About The Artwork
This is a portrait of a model named Kadianne who I have worked with quite a bit. I used watercolor pencils for this piece and used a small amount of acrylic paint in the background. The watercolor pencils are great at allowing you to introduce all the unexpected colors observed in the skin tones. As I finished the piece I thought she resembled a Roman woman, or a figure in a Neo-classical painting.
