The Crocodile Lady Drawing

Ancient Egypt had Taweret, the goddess of childbirth and fertility, with the back and tail of a crocodile. From her ideological conception, Taweret was closely grouped with (and is often indistinguishable from) several other protective hippopotamus goddesses: Ipet, Reret, and Hedjet.
