We observe people everyday. Life drawing is about looking, discovering and analyzing the human body. Drawing from observation involves triangular relationship, the eye, the hand and the subject. The variations are infinite and because the variety of human beings is so diverse so is the number of ways of rendering a drawing. I find inspiration from the masters such as Durer, Egon Schiele, Matisse, Chagall to name a few. I love to experiment with a variety of mediums, charcoal, pastel, oil pastel, paint and graphite. This work is a life drawing made with acrylic paint and oil pastel on art paper. Shipped in a tube.

I am an Australian artist, living and working in my studio in London. My work includes painting, collage, mixed media, prints and installations I enjoy working with the different elements and piecing them together to create some kind of logic and order. There is a fundamental pleasure in connecting images together to create something that did not previously exist. There is a landfill of ideas out there and a universe of nonsense that needs sorting. I am drawn to artists who push the envelope, unafraid of producing works and images that may be confronting, but always thought-provoking. My main influences are Peter Blake, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Paul Klee, Joseph Cornell, Nick Bantock, Ray Johnson, James Jean, Raymond Pettibon PLEASE NOTE FROM TIME TO TIME SOME WORKS ARE MARKED "NOT FOR SALE" DUE TO INCLUSION IN AN EXHIBITION OR AN ART FAIR. IT WOULD ONLY BE FOR A SHORT TIME AND THE WORKS WILL BE BACK FOR "SALE" AS SOON AS THE SAID EVENT HAS ENDED. IF SOLD AT AN EVENT OF COURSE THEY WILL BE MARKED "SOLD".
