About The Artwork
This is a portrait of a girl created using collage techniques with designer paper, tracing paper, colored pencils, gold acrylic, and a liner pen. It is one of the pieces from the "Forgotten Fairy Tales" series. The entire series was conceived when I was pregnant, anticipating the arrival of our son. I started thinking about how I could tell him the stories I heard from my parents during my childhood, now that we had recently moved to a new country where we will be living. Finding books in our native language would be difficult. I began to recall the fairy tales from my childhood, and all the images were born from these memories.
