Peak View I began with an image of a mountain peak where it was then meticulously blended with an individually crafted texture made from images of traditional acrylic paint strokes. The goal of this piece was to combine my affinity for mountains and nature while combining different methods (traditional and digital) to create something new and uniquely identifiable. I am a self-taught nature photographer and a mixed media visual artist. My camera serves as a means for me to delve into and traverse the immense realm of nature, where I find my muse. I employ both conventional and digital techniques to modify and interweave hues, shapes, and textures in diverse manners, aiming to accentuate my envisioned concept and amplify the unique attributes of each image. The primary source of inspiration for my creations stems from a longing to produce something distinctively recognizable while also enabling me to connect my affinity for color, scenery, texture, literature, vintage aesthetics, and maps.
