About The Artwork

This artistic creation is a paper collage that incorporates painted and drawn elements, such as the laser-eyes, all enclosed within a passpartout. "Sacra Illuminazione" portrays the Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, who is the founder and central figure of Christianity. Jesus Christ is considered the son of God incarnated, the Savior, and the Messiah, according to Christian doctrine. His primary mission was to redeem and save humanity, guided by divinity itself. In this representation of Jesus, "laser-eyes" have been symbolically attributed to him, as if he were a hero endowed with extraordinary powers. This artwork, while appearing traditional and classic, especially in Italy, is actually a reinterpretation of the contemporary. The use of spray cans adds a unique and innovative atmosphere, creating a new and hybrid context that is in perfect harmony with the present.

I am a young emerging artist from SouthTyrol, Italy, based in Lake Como. My artistic production is primarily rooted in my origins and my background from South Tyrol, which constitutes a cultural "minority" in Italy. Thanks to this, I have developed a keen interest in other realities. This fact has influenced me in many different ways and has helped me appreciate and capture the beauty and peculiarities of other cultures and ethnicities. To emphasize the connection with national heritages and traditions, I use various media, from sculpture to photography, to video installations. Additionally, I employ a plethora of different materials, both industrial and artificial, as well as organic and natural, to explore the customs and traditions of different territories, which I represent through multimedia works. I work in cycles that encompass different ethnicities and help me better represent and convey the atmosphere I want to create, in which I aim to immerse the viewer: a sensory experience.
