During my recent art residency in Caylus, France, I delved into the world of photo transfer techniques. It was a fascinating exchange of knowledge, as my mentor and I brought entirely different approaches to the table. This exploration with photo transfer allowed me to not only document my photographic experiences of the local area but also to integrate its captivating medieval architecture directly into my artwork. This "street series" embodies the culmination of both my experimentation with transfer techniques and my photographic exploration of Caylus' rich architectural heritage. Further enriching these works, I incorporated stone pigment into the backgrounds, sourced directly from the very stones of Caylus itself. This connection to the local environment is further emphasized by the inclusion of textured elements within the backgrounds, creating a truly immersive experience for the viewer.
