About The Artwork

Completion Date: 03 Jun 2024 Medium: Paint & ink on acid-free mount-board Dimensions: 61 x 91 cm (24 x 35″) On May 30, 2024, Donald J. Trump, the former president and presumptive 2024 Republican nominee, was convicted on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in a case stemming from a payment that silenced a porn star. Will the conviction matter? What impact will it have on voter decisions? Polls indicate Trump is in a statistical dead heat with Biden and maintains a slight edge in many key swing states that will decide the election. But those surveys also provide evidence that this conviction might change all of that. In exit polls conducted during the Republican primaries this winter, double-digit numbers of voters said that they would not vote for the former president if he were convicted of a felony. An April survey by Ipsos and ABC News found that 16% of those backing Trump would reconsider their support in such a situation.
