About The Artwork
This TRIPTYCH is the result of a few lives of older paintings going thru a re-birth and creating 3 new pieces of work. I took a huge painting I made initially, then re-painted it with a new color scheme and eventually hand-ripped the canvases into 3 new works. 2020 was a time of such change and it felt like a result to what I was feeling. There is almost a scultpural element here with the rips and threads of the canvas showing thru and sealed with glaze. A new life for old pieces that reflect a new time.
