About The Artwork

Abstract Portrait Angelina 808 16 x 20 x 0.1 inches (40 x 50 x 0.1 cm) Acrylic on Stretched Canvas Board Beautiful colourful painting with bright oranges, reds and pinks and yellows. Thickly applied and textured paint, in contrast, half circle side is painted in traditional style. A beautifully abstracted portrait with dramatic colourful planes of colour and texture. The juxtaposition of traditional and abstracted styles makes this painting unusual and unique, interested in sunlight on shadows and light. This painting is about colour and abstraction of a portrait and the application of colour and how it is rendered and mixed on the canvas creating a beautiful and poster feel. Highly pigmented, heavy body acrylic seascape painting with a creamy thick consistency of artist viscosity colours. The work has a poster, abstract feel is highly visible, colourful and textual adding impact and colour to any wall. An artist's interpretation or spin on the subject is irresistible. I wanted a poster pop-art look with the food looking thick, textured and sweet. Its comic clip art representation was in symbol of how advertising simplify the look and manipulates the image to show what looks nice but never looks the same out the box. The lettering is in part advertising but have twisted to mean how it is not how you imagine.
