About The Artwork
My painting "Abundance" was exhibited in "The deYoung Museum 2023 Open". This oil with cold wax medium painting was executed entirely with a palette knife and took about 9 months to complete. "Abundance" the painting stops the viewer with it's foreign fence and says "stop and look here. Look at the gold at the end of this rainbow walk. My fence does might make you stop to look, but it is very short and you can easily walk around it. Come, take my hand. Let me guide you through this beautiful path amid plants and water and all of Nature. Come look at the little gems place along the way to keep you entertained as we move towards Paradise. Come walk with me, come to the rich safe haven/forest (to Paradise)". Artist: This is the message I heard over and over in the meditation session I had just before beginning this painting of "Abundance". Lois.

Originally from the small California Sierra village of Blue Canyon, CA I now reside in the San Francisco Bay Area where I make artwork influenced by my childhood and life-long experiences engaging up close and personal with Nature, introspection, deep meditations (or prayer), and our collective Soul. The paintings I make are definitely abstract expressionistic in style and I often 'find' them lingering in the corners of one of my deeper meditation sessions. I love color, form, line and opposites! And, I am greatly influenced by my favorite master artist Joan Mitchell.
