My abstract paintings start with an exploration of color. This painting is part of a duo that began with blue that is almost black. It provided a depth and a backdrop that made the other colors create a story. I love painting big. This piece can be purchased with it's mate "Autonomy 2" to create an extra large piece or they can be hung on stacked or on separate walls.

I am a self taught artist. I started painting seriously in 2016. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I spent several years living part time in Los Cabos, Mexico. Today I divide my time between Houston and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Until 2012, I worked for several years doing graphic design for our privately owned software company. My artwork is often a reflection of myself or of my dear friends. The women have a feminine quality, sensuality and glamour. Some of the work are flections of the past, feelings of love and loss. Each one contains part of me in them.
