About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the story of a cursed ring and the lore that follows it. The idea that a thing of beauty could cause tragedy is rather bizarre, so I painted the woman with the cursed ring against a bizarre and abstract background to represent the turbulence she may face. In the face of whatever loss she may have faced, however, she remains proud and has held onto her ring, for whatever it may have cost her.
