Bull Fight Painting

Story behind this painting: It was a beautiful sunny but cold Saturday. December 2013. I remember I decided to go to studio that day to paint one of a few big 47'' x 47'' canvases I've stretched a few days before. My son Kris, who was 4 years old at the time, wanted to come with me, so I took him. It was really cold in my rented studio, since there was no central heating system installed. We lit wood-burning stove and soon we had a nice warm place to spend our afternoon in. He wanted to paint also, so I pulled out one of premade small canvases (something arround 12''x24'') and prepared his pallete. Than I prepared my paints and brushes and we started to paint. We had a great time that day. He finished painting before I did, so he took a toy and played. After I was done painting I asked him: »Kris, I can't remember a name fort his painting. Please help me out. What do you see in this painting?« He looked at big canvas filled with wet paint, stared for a little bit and said: ''I see two bulls fighting. I like the colors so much, It is a beautiful painting.'' I thanked him, carefully put the painting off the easel, took black marker pen and wrote on the back side of canvas: ''Bull Fight, 2013'' Today I can't imagine a different name fort his painting. Kids just know, we should rely on them more often. Materials used and details: * Original handmade painting on gallery style canvas.
