About The Artwork
In Figurheads/Circe 1, painted several years ago, a young Sorceress is still casting her spells on a platoon of women, mesmerizing them with a promise of standardized beauty and extended youth. The Sorceress of the new Circe 2 is a more mature character, herself dealing with something that is escaping. No one is left around to play her tricks on. Certainly she has a lot of stories to tell, if she could just find someone a little more sympathetic than her Sphinx cat.

After graduating with a M.S. in Architecture from the Politecnico di Torino, she began her career in Italy at a Product Design Firm, and then moved to Pubblisintesi, a leading Italian advertising agency, where she served as Art Director. Only after moving to the US she was able to paint full time.
