Worlds' pandemic situation inspired the artwork. The questions linger about the picture: Who or What is behind it? Can we be safe? Who or What can we rely on? An angel in the picture seems apathetic and empty with some holes. It climbs over the heads of people. Does it tries to protect them or in the contrary? The necklace of an angel looks like a fallen crown. It gives a hint to the crown of Christ thorns. The texture in the painting made in the manner of mixed media, is an allusion of the scars. The painting makes to think of meaning of an angel. For the viewer it might be the Savior or a punisher, the conscience or something else. Let the viewer to decide.

I was born in 1978. Graduated from Siauliai University and got bachelor’s degree in business administration. Master’s degree in economics I received in Jelgava Agricultural University (Latvia). Economical studies and more than 10 years of well payed job as export manager in one of the largest Lithuanian companies didn’t give me a satisfaction. I graduated from Siauliai University one more time and got a bachelor’s degree in art and design pedagogy. Since then I started my pedagogical career. I always felt an art besides me: was it a mothers’ piano playing or my own handcraft stuff. My works are very different. Sometimes I paint; sometimes I do figures (from papier-mache, clay, wool). I prefer oil in paintings, but admire watercolors. The greatest value that I elevate is respect to our ancient experience, our past, history and our roots.
