I always loathed the song “Little Drummer Boy.” For some reason the tune just didn’t ring my bells. I had a change of heart after listening to it this year when I pondered the simplicity of its message. That we don’t have to bring perfect gifts and perfect lives to lay before the King. He takes us as we are. And he delights in something as simple as hearing his child play (or compose) a little music. Everyone, rich or poor, is welcome in his Kingdom.
