East Coast - West Coast Painting

I began this series by collaging the colors inspired by the vibrant, beach town colors of Santa Monica. Then, I set them aside as I traveled to New York, not sure what I would do with the colorful pieces. Upon my return, in the richly creative dreamtime of jet lag, I saw what needed to happen: I drew Manhattan buildings upon the the saturated colors. New York is grey, Los Angeles is bright. For those of us who understand bi-coastal flavors, this series will feel familiar and inspiring. These are 9 small canvases that can be hung individually. They can be hung in any configuration the collector prefers. Each canvas is 8" x 6".
