Eternity Painting

My name’s, John Quinton Dingle. I’m a expressionist and realist artist, specializing in oil painting. Born in Columbia, South Carolina, I was raised in a rural part of Summerton. Coming up, my father and I went fishing almost every weekend; except when deer season came in. As a young man, on school day afternoons, many of my chores included: helping my grandfather feed his hogs and chickens, taking care of my father’s hounds, and sweeping an old porch. There was one thing on my to-do list that wasn’t really a chore, draw. Attending Scott’s Branch High School, I studied art three years; my colleagues and I winning competitions back to back. Upon graduating with honors, I furthered my education at the University of South Carolina. There, I’ve been fortunate to obtain an Associate in Arts degree. Today I’m a proud member of Sumter County Artist Guild. Each year we host a summer show and exhibition. My piece “Sleeping Beauty,” has won an honorable mentioned award; being published in Sumter Living 100th magazine edition. With most of my subjects portraying family and a rural Lifestyle, I’m proud of where I come from.
