Fragmented Landscape Orange Painting

From a young age I have enjoyed walking and observing the English countryside around me: the landscape, the animals, plants and the elements. I have been creative since a child, spending hours playing with different techniques and being encouraged by inspirational teachers who took an interest. I inevitably followed my passion with a teaching degree and taught as an art & design specialist for many years. My paintings are largely acrylic based using Golden Acrylics and I use acrylic spray paints to sketch out my work and get some initial colour down on my panel or canvas. Everything is locked in with Golden mediums. Taking my starting point from nature, I decide on a colour scheme and brainstorm some ideas but once started each artwork takes me on a journey of exploration and problem solving which may lead me in a completely different direction… best laid plans and all that!
