This is a painting that initially started out as a strong desire to attempt another truly stunning sunset scene. It was built based on a memorable landscape based on modern architecture and a classic bridge, and a scene from the movie 'Mad Max'(George Miller). Another big change occurred in the middle, and the scene reminded me of the desert where Left alone there, I thought of Sisyphus going to work every day, and with this in mind, I actively expressed that will in the painting. I wanted to escape most of the situations I was currently in, so every morning when I woke up, I reset my mind and hypnotized myself again. It's not necessarily recent; I've been like this every day. To that extent, I think of everyday life as a tragedy and am delighted to discover the absurdity in the strange logic that arises only from the struggles and confusion in the paintings. I have a flow (order) in each painting, and the flow of this painting really worked well by chance. A few key gestures dominate the space of the painting without distracting from it. At the time I painted this picture, I was reading two books, one on Pina Bausch's autobiography and one on Schumann's life. I was deeply impressed by the caution about things that are easily revealed, the humor, and the unreality and unfamiliarity.

" There is only one thing that is true. I draw what I see at once. " I am a visual artist born in 1979 and based in Seoul. I am strongly obsessed with mathematical allegories that are closely linked to color and memory images. The intention is to directly touch the viewer's emotions through visualization influenced by musical composition techniques. I express in my paintings the indescribable subtleties of feelings of sadness, joy and pain. It simply presents a structure that excludes the story. The paintings I am influenced by and like are Matisse, Bonnard, and Manet. Research on the decorativeness and curves of arabesque patterns and modern dance choreography From the constant questions about freedom and existence, which are the essence of human beings, Dostoevsky's Memoirs from Underground, Crime and Punishment, and because I like humor about nihilism,Samuel Beckett , and Marcel Proust's image memory method, these are all processes of my work. Since 2002, I have been studying techniques and improving my technique using only oil paintings, and in Korea, my brushstrokes are mentioned as being connected to oriental handwriting. From a young age, I was good at calligraphy, drew a lot of oriental paintings, and was poetically developed. I would like to say that the process of completing my paintings is a continuation of the process, and I believe that the rest should follow from the act of seeing. I hope it continues to be read as a new version in their eyes.
