Ganapati Painting

I 'm a self-taught artist, born and brought up in Mumbai, India. I began painting since finding it was the only thing that brought a ​calming effect to mind. I didn't think about painting seriously until seeing some ​traditional painting works which strongly influenced me and my ​painting style. Travelling experiences also have changed my life ​and painting techniques. It gives me enthusiasm to focus my ​unrestricted energies in simplifying my paintings in a bold, fresh ​way. I take inspiration for my work from many things, culture, ​tradition, religion, mythology, nature, movies, books, travelling ​and studying more traditional contemporary artists. I paint with acrylics paint on canvas. I don't have the vocabulary ​to put into words what i want you to feel, see, sense when you ​see a painting of mine so i try to let my paintings do the talking ​for me and hope you enjoy them as much as i did painting them.
