Janet Muller is a contemporary oil painter born in 1987 in Southern California. Her work is defined by the use of organic imagery and a high level of detail, creating the illusion of solidity within a dreamlike setting. Bold use of color and experimentation with different palettes, materials and painting surfaces results in a variety of moods and atmospheres throughout her work. Janet draws inspiration from the mysterious, sensual and powerful forces of nature. Her purpose is to convey beauty, and to identify the myriad of ways in which we discover and define ourselves and our surroundings through stories and legends, myths and dreams. Through her work she aspires to transport the viewer into vibrant and visceral worlds where they may see themselves looking back.
