About The Artwork
Hypnogogia was created using brain wave synchronization CD's. Wallo enters an altered state of consciousness and the painting flows unencumbered. This particular work tends to take on a life of its own and changes with every view. When the original was on exhibition many people said that it caused an immediate sense of peace internally just by focusing on the many layers of color and movement.

As a young child I won a gold medal for a drawing of a dog. My father and I used to draw together. I graduated from Montclair State University and did take some art classes there, however, that was not my major. I am mostly self taught. I began painting seriously in 2000 and in 2009 I was in a 4 state competition with thousands of aritsts in a museum. I won First Place in Painting oil/acrylics. The juror was the previous director of the Guggenheim so this was quite an honor!
