About The Artwork
Inspired by the purplish blue iris that bloom in my yard for about 3 weeks beginning in March every year. They seem so joyful to me, I just had to create a painting! My painting is meant to evoke a sense of joy, peace, freedom and beauty while feeling energized by the growing iris. This painting was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 8th Flower international, juried, digital art competition held by Teravarna Gallery June 2024. The edges are painted a similar color to the background. Hanging hardware is attached to the back of the canvas stretcher.
