About The Artwork

These painting is one of a pair of paintings which represent the moments I realized my worth, and let go of the people, things and situations that were not meant for me. Some of these moments hit like a wave, others were a slow rise. This pair of paintings is mixed media on wood with layers of resin, with wood trim. Both panels feature LED dimmable backlighting, ranging from a soft yellow glow to a bright white light. These panels may be bought individually or together as a pair. Simply select from the drop down menu which way you would like to purchase them. Special pricing available for purchasing the pair. Measurements, per panel: 24” x 48” x 1”, mixed media and resin on framed in wood panels. Dimmable soft yellow to bright white LED backlights. *Please note, these panels are approximately 25lbs. in weight and require anchoring into a wall stud for proper safety and support. Each panel is affixed with heavy duty wire suited for up to 50 lbs. of weight. If improperly displayed or secured to drywall, serious personal injury could occur.

Daisy-Anne is an abstract artist based just outside of Atlanta, GA. Her abstract paintings are intertwined with the art of storytelling, centering around themes of brokenness, healing, growth, renewal, and restoration. These abstracted narratives largely emphasize layers, texture, motion and color to create a language of her own. Daisy was formally educated in oil painting, graduating in 2004 with a BA in Studio Painting from Oglethorpe University. She went on to earn her BS in Nursing, in 2014 from Georgia State University. Currently, Daisy remains passionate about continuing her work as a registered nurse in both the emergency room and surgical services in the Atlanta area. Her love of science can be seen in her evolving and experimental processes. Daisy has moved from strictly oil painting to mixed media, including acrylics, spray paint, watercolor, collage, inks, gold leafing, thread, and resin on canvas, fabrics or wood. Salvaging discarded, surplus, neglected or broken materials to use has become a mainstay of her style. Daisy currently works out of her home studio and creates self-portrait narratives, abstracted narratives and expressionism.
