La Chimera Painting

Part of a series of works that explore modern architecture and pool spaces through the practise of painting ; images of landscapes that are carefully chosen and collaged together to create imaginary landscapes which then become the subjects for attention - 'broken landscapes' that almost but don't quite fit together - a little like our own lives? One's eye is drawn from one space to another and out where the picture becomes a 'still life' on a surface. Although the works may depict modern, desirable living interiors & exteriors that may convey a sense of calm - the works are about painting and the process itself and how an eye can travels through and across a surface.
