About The Artwork
Started this painting by cutting geometric bird shapes out of construction paper and glueing them to the wood panel support. Started painting over them and taking a gestural approach to the painting. Im from the deep south and the theme of cotton came to mind when I finished. Cotton being a crop that's been grown and harvested in the south for 400-500 years.
