As the sun was going down the light caught the tree and front of this house on my Father's farm in such a glow that I wanted to try to capture the scene with my paints. I think how light and dark can change an everyday scene we see often in new and different ways. In seeing our world in new light often we can appreciate what we often take no notice of. A new light gives a new view on which to think and often appreciate in new ways. In our world today we certainly need new light to learn how to move and heal the divisions we see daily. Hopefully this painting will cause on to pause and look again at old issue and see new light and solutions. No need for a frame. Sides are painted. Wired and ready to hang.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, USA and after living many other places am once again living in Raleigh, NC. I love painting landscapes using either a brush or palette knife with oil. I love the texture a palette knife brings but what ever tool I use I paint more impressionistic. I only use my own photographs for my work to inspire me or to get me going. I hope my art makes one see their own surroundings with new eyes, and want to look at my paintings as a window to a place they may want to be or visit.
