Young people now a days feel lonely and have already on a young age burn outs and depressions. Rosalinde was inspired to make this work as a tribute for several reasons. "Love Train" of the O’ Jays entered the Hot 100's top 40 on January 27, 1973, the same day that the Paris Peace Accords were signed. The song's lyrics of unity mention a number of countries, including England, Russia, China, Egypt and Israel, as well as the continent of Africa. ‘Love Train’ is said to be the first disco song ever and gave way and inspired others to also go for a career in disco music like 14 years old Michael Jackson. Afro Americans also came from a hard back ground and out of them arose the godfathers of now a days modern pop culture and modern dance styles. Their music brought joy, inspiration, hope and togetherness on events and to listeners all over the world and they also showed that hard work, positivity and working together makes the impossible possible. Rosalinde experimented with applying techniques using acryl paint, different brushes and cotton wipes. She used contrasting poppy colours and gave space and breath to the image by using the spaces of the white canvas itself. Being academically trained in etching and lithography she loves to experiment with ‘the skin of the canvas’ and builds up images in thin layers of colour trying to keep the fragile serene appearance of full coloured aqua tint etching prints. The work is unique and one of a piece. The work is signed on front with ARB ’23, the year it was made. The work is not framed and the hanging materials need to be attached. With the work comes a signed certificate as a prove of authenticity.

Rosalinde Bakker was born in 1967 in Maassluis, the Netherlands. She currently lives and works in Soest in the Netherlands. Since 1989 Rosalinde is exhibiting and selling art. She did a double study in etching, lithography, sculpture and public art. After graduating cum laude in 1991 she did assignments for sculpture, paintings, installations and performances for governments, foundations, and private persons. She derives inspiration from the perfect and raw beauty of nature and derives themes from historical and actual events. The experiment as intuitive research fascinates her immensely. not because of hesitant uncertainty but because she has a very broad interest in the character and proportions of things. When she works on canvas she uses high quality acryl in normal and fluid form and pure or in combination with acrylic medium. She also makes combinations with other fluids like spray paint and ink. In her studio Rosalinde researches all possible variants and variations resulting in a vivid unconventional type of art work. Her art works are in between classic and modern. Life is as an art and needs to be danced. Art is an experience of colour, essence, and love for life in all its forms. Come and dance.
