The high desert around Mafra, TX is a serene setting that offers an ever changing range of colors and forms. This is one painting in a series of abstract landscapes based on the Chihuahuan Desert around Marfa. This painting is titled Marfa #4.1 because this is the second iteration of the original painting Marfa #4. After hanging the painting in my home for awhile, I felt it was still missing something. So back to the studio for this reworked and I believe better version. This oil on canvas comes with black painted edges and is ready to hang.
