About The Artwork
This picture is part of a new planned series on modern mythologies. In this picture I am reworking the well-known fairy tale of little red riding hood. I want to add my own perspective to the well-known story. This picture is not intended to tell the well-known children's fairy tale, but to give the well-known story a new perspective. Little red Riding Hood has grown up and the wolf is wearing a suit. He could be the fairytale character, but he could also be a normal person. Nowadays, we usually encounter the most dangerous wolves in human form: homo homini lupus est. This is perhaps more topical today than it has been for a long time. The picture contains many small clues, associations and cross-references. I wanted to give it a slightly magical atmosphere, coupled with a very slight reference to reality. I don't want to explain every little clue at this point. This picture is an invitation to discover the story for yourself. Not every connection should be immediately obvious. The viewer can discover the story for themselves and experience little surprises again and again. Everything in this picture has its meaning and its message. A painting which will remain challenging and may change it’s story again and again. A very unique piece of art for lovers of mythology, magic, fairy tales, riddles and romance.
