I am inspired by the mood of nature, especially by an individual subject rather than a landscape. Among many trees, one of my favorite is willow. There are many willow trees by River road in the commute to my studio, I observe them throughout different seasons. I identify different emotions by the way it moves in a breeze and the way it wears different colors over each season. There is no particular model for my painting. it is like an imagined portrait.
