About The Artwork
This painting is part of my "affairs" collection. Using cubism both from perspective in the painting but also in the sense that humans compartmentalize their lives in perspectives too. She is a mistress, being made to wait and becoming furious because she is at the mercy of the object of her affection but also she is the master of her own misery. The segmented sky denotes the passage of time and the palm tree's shape is softly representative of fire matching her inner turmoil.
