Title: Path, Mighty Hue (diptych) Created: 2021, Signed, titled, and dated. Includes the Certificate of Authenticity. Size: 32 x 20 x 0.9inch (16x20 x(2) pieces) | 82 x 51 x 2cm Medium: Mixed Media (Fabric Paint, Watercolor, India Ink, Japanese rice paper, Pastel, Beeswax) Original painting by Misako OBA. Hand painted mixed media with multiple medium and collage on stretched canvas. Two 16x20 inch canvases. Ready to hang. Unframed. Misako OBA creates one-of-a-kind contemporary abstract paintings with textures, text, and subtle color shades that convey the messages beyond time and space. The artwork has both ancient/traditional and modern/contemporary elements and techniques. —— The artwork is from my Cosmos Series of “Stars and Desert” project. In this series, I share perspective and hope as a visual statement, abstractly layering timeless verses and computer-programming languages (code) from our time that correlate with the stars. The text in an abstract manner in English and French in this work depicts the book of Isaiah 40:26: "Lift up your eyes on high And see who has created these stars, The One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; Because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power, Not one of them is missing."
