About The Artwork
Acrylic on canvas. Work in rectangular format, measures: 100 x 150 cm. Color composition on a black background. "Portrait" is abstract in nature, it is made with continuous lines that form irregular shapes and figures. It has more than 10 colors in each of the spaces that make up this portrait contains a different color. In addition to circular patterns in white on a blue surface, white lines linking two figures of blue and red. Finally pink lines on a green surface. Abstract art tries to offer a new perspective on what is real and what is known, with this "Portrait" the abstract plastic artist Enrique Pichardo inserts his particular vision of painting into each stroke off color. The Mexican plastic artist, Enrique Pichardo, has more than 30 years of experience as a painter. His technique and style combine artistic influences from other countries with the traditional Mexican influence. In his own words, he defines his art as naive expressionism. The plastic work of Enrique Pichardo has more than one aspect. On the one hand, he creates works that are densely populated with shapes, figures, and colors. On the other hand, he has abstracted urban landscapes with a neutral color palette that recreates everyday situations. However, the special characteristic that maintains the cohesion of all his pieces is the conviction of approaching art through a return to his childhood and his first traces. Paint like a child, paint with more expression than technique, paint with feeling over technique. The painter seeks the skillful strokes of his inner child to carry out each of his pieces.
