I work in acrylic and spray paint but also screen printing and collage portraits from paper, found images, and film positives. I am mostly interested in painting the figure and using it as a central motif combined with a tapestry of realistic references, gestural abstraction, patterning, landscape elements, florals, and art history references. My work explores the multifaceted landscapes of the human experience and is an expression of the transformative powers of the self, where identity is constructed and deconstructed over time and mirrors the complex dialogue between the conscious and the unconscious mind.
