About The Artwork
Roe deers are regular visitors of my garden here in the south of Norway. These dainty, elegant little deer species almost look like the gazelles of the savannah. They are shy vreatures, though can become more acquainted if bribed with a regular offering of apples on a garden feeder. I wanted to try and capture the poised, alert nature of this animal, always on watch, as it is on the menu of so many predators, including human hunters Acrylics on Olio oil painting paper
