About The Artwork
Inspired by J.M.W Turner. One of my first attempts at landscape painting, done outside on the shores of Beachy Head in Eastbourne, England. Acrylic allowed for a much lighter and pronounced appearance in contrast to Turner's use of oil and chalk. I wanted to experiment with "eliminating perspective", placing the viewer in the midst of the scene, instead of focusing on one particular subject/object.
