About The Artwork
I painted this piece at the beginning of summer, in my studio. I remember it was still cool outside, but in the air you could feel the coming spring and hope for life and a positive mood. The sun was already high and the days longer, nature was being born again. Here I tried an unusual and new for me approach and technique. I think it turned out to be a modern optimistic and pleasant, relatively small work. The dimensions of the painting are 40 x 50 x 2 cm, respectively in inches: 15.75 x 19.7 x 0.8 inches. It is unframed, and like most of my works, I ship with a string attached for wall hanging.

I have been painting professionally for over 20 years. I mostly paint in my studio in silence and solitude, thus giving myself completely to what I am doing. I am motivated by the relationship between color and space and the emotional response to the way they intersect and combine. The themes I explore include the interplay of light and shadow, color contrasts, lines and shapes, the duality of extremes and organic references in the abstractly expressive medium.
