Original painting of “ Silver Princess Eucalyptus Tree” by Moira Briel This original work was painted with a acrylic pallet on a 61 cm cm x 45.5 cm and a depth of 2.5 cm on a acrylic canvas and a protective coat of gloss varnish has been applied to seal the acrylic paints and ensure the work stays looking its best for a life time Australian native “Silver Princess Eucalyptus tree “ is a graceful weeping tree with powdery blue - green foliage. This striking native Australian tree sometimes referred to as silver Princess gum tree, displays fascinating bark and unique pink or red flowers with yellow anthers in the late winter or early spring and soon followed by bell shaped fruit. I used pink and red together on the flowers and white and grey and orange on the stems. I also used yellow and two different greens and blue in the leaves and the shadows in dark green on the leaves, the background was made black to make the flowers pop. I enjoyed painting this beautiful Tree as its has so many intense rich colours and the shape of the leaves are slimline giving this painting an elegant look about it. The colours are brilliant and stand out Specifications Title ; Silver Princess Eucalyptus Tree Media: Acrylic Style: flower realism Framing: Not included Authenticity: Signed in front Packaging: Shipped in a cardboard box ready to hang but can be rolled in a tube of ridged fibreboard if preferred Please note that frames on images (if depicted) are for illustrative sizing purposes, only rolled paper/canvas / originals is shipped

Australia
I am an Australian based wildlife artist with 30 years of experience. I was born in Zimbabwe and started my art career by studying under professional wildlife artists such as wildlife artist Francis Stoki in Zimbabwe and Donald Waters in Queensland Australia. I worked for a taxidermy in Zimbabwe for two years painting wildlife on a large scale for export overseas. One of my paintings sold to the governor of Beirut and the other to the vice president of Zimbabwe at the time. I left Zimbabwe 17 years ago and now reside in Perth Western Australia. After retiring I finally have the opportunity to paint full time in my studio, something I always wanted to do. I enjoy painting wildlife the most coming from Africa I find nothing better than capturing the beauty of wild animals in their natural habitat. I paint in acrylics mostly but have done charcoal drawings and soft pastel drawing as well and a bit of water colour and graphic pencils. I have worked in oils before but find acrylics dry a lot faster. I paint realism mostly but of late have switched to a bit of abstract painting which is fun bringing out the stories it tells. I have also done underwater scenes where I can follow the swirls and patterns of the water creating movement and patterns which are pleasing to the eye. I paint flowers, animals, underwater scenes, abstract, realism, still life, marine life, beach life, sea scapes, birds and more so keep an eye open for something different as i intend to give you just that
