VIEW IN MY ROOM
Colored ink painting, or "cai mo," is a form of Chinese painting that combines traditional ink wash painting techniques with the use of color, creating a unique art form. It not only retains the expressive style of ink wash painting but also enhances the visual effect and expressiveness of the artwork through the use of rich colors. While ink bamboo is a common technique in Chinese painting, using colored ink to depict bamboo in its natural colors can also bring a different kind of charm.

China
I've been practicing Chinese painting for years and I'm a member of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Association. My focus is on freehand Chinese painting, particularly in flower-and-bird painting and calligraphy. For my art, I use Xuan paper and mineral pigments. Xuan paper, a traditional type of paper, has been used in Chinese painting for over 1,200 years since the Tang Dynasty. The mineral pigments, extracted from minerals, retain their vibrant colors over time.
