I like to think of myself as a tulip or hyacinth bulb,
which is hidden in the bare dark earth in winter,
enclosing in itself, like a pregnant woman, the secret of a tiny flower already complete,
a draft of petals and leaves.
Like me he waits for the light to last longer
and for the air to become sweeter
to make his secret sprout.

Professional high quality artist paints and mediums
Protected against light fade and dust with a UV matt varnish
Gallery wrapped canvas: the canvas wraps around the sides of the stretcher bar and is stapled to the back of the wooden frame
Fitted with saw-tooth hangers on reverse for easy hanging
Sides are painted so there is no need to frame

My paintings are built up layer by layer, in an organic way and with attention to obtain a harmonious but energetic composition.
Shapes are rich and intense, and the surface is worked with expressive brushstrokes, different types of spatulas, scratching, splashes of color, charcoal and pastel marks, and various pictorial tools to make a variegated and lively texture.
Colors are of primary importance, with a continuous research for new nuances and combinations that can explore the whole range of human emotions and experiences.
My intention is to raise a reaction in the observer, and to help him rediscover the images that can make him experience the present in its fullness. Through the shapes and colors of my paintings I want to invite you to discover the beauty that lies within our soul and beyond ourselves.

Cristina Dalla Valentina is an Italian painter born in Verona: she has been in the art industry for over 18 years and specialized in contemporary abstracts on canvas using acrylic colors, inks and textile collages with techniques ranging from liquid painting to mixed media. Her artistic practice focuses on the attempt to combine formal and geometric elements with more instinctive and organic features: colors play a role of primary importance in this because they underline this attempt and enhance it from an emotional point of view.
Cristina Dalla Valentina's paintings could be found in private collections in Europe (Italy, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Greece, Bulgaria), North and South America (United States, Canada, Brazil), Asia and Oceania (Japan , Australia).
