About The Artwork
Inspired by the huge variety of succulent plants, flowering bushes, old deciduous trees, cacti, and grasses growing in a park near my San Diego home. My painting is meant to draw the viewer's interest into the horticultural world of the park and to invite the viewer to join the energy of other people, dogs and children that enjoy this park every day, especially in the Spring and Summer. This painting was awarded an Honorable Mention award in the Teravarna Gallery 7th Color international, juried, digital competition in April, 2024. The work was titled "In the Park" at that time. The edges are painted black. Hanging hardware is attached to the back canvas frame stretcher.
