About The Artwork
With my recent work, I employ the figure in order to explore the way that we connect with nature in unusual ways. I rely on intuitive associations, remembered forms, repeat patterns, and chance encounters with my chosen materials to provide structure and visual vocabulary. All of my work is mixed media on rice paper mounted on cradleboard and ready to hang.There is no glass. The surfaces are fixed with a non-yellowing varnish. The frame work on the edges of all of my paintings are painted in acrylic as a "mock" frame and ready to hang as is, or framed differently as you wish.

I have been making art in one form or another for over 40 years. As a visual artist and also a writer, I love playing with words as well as color and form. Since 2012, I have lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where the surreal atmosphere and sensuous colors have worked their way into my paintings. The last few years have found me making art in different parts of the world, most recently at art residencies in Spain and France.
